Working Towards a Brighter Future
At Dixon Montessori our ELD program we promote the academic success of all of our English learners. We develop cross-cultural awareness, appreciation of one’s own culture and language, encouragement of bilingualism, and enhance positive self- esteem. Our staff is trained to implement effective instructional strategies that are engaging for our whole student population. We continuously want to and strive to increase the level of parent and community awareness, involvement, and support in meeting the educational needs of English learners.

Dixon Montessori ELD Program knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. In the 2018-2019 school year, our amazing school has been working together to establish our ELD program. We have built a strong English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) community that works with our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for the betterment of all students at our school.
What We Do
The English Learner Development Program at Dixon Montessori serves our English Learner students. Any student that has another language will be supported through our program. We have three main focuses: EL students, family and community engagement and language instruction.
